You really need to communicate to your mother that you are trying to lose weight, and would prefer a salad bowl from the fast food restaurants. That’s assuming you are **really** having a problem with being medically overweight. If you are only socially overweight (meaning you are the correct weight for your height, but you are 5 ft tall and a size 10, and think you should really be a size 2 or 4 like your friends) then I would advise getting a new set of friends. Hollywood has everybody in America brainwashed that you have to be the weight of a person who survived extreme starvation to be attractive. Judy saying. Good luck with your food management.

Just as I thought! Unless you are under 5 ft tall (you didn’t state your height on your bio) your weight goal is dangerously low! You will look like skin and bones unless you are about 4’8 “ tall! Please don’t hurt yourself by trying to conform to the distorted images of women we see on TV or in the movies! Perhaps you would feel better losing about ten pounds, but I think you would do permanent damage to your organs (like kidneys and liver) if you were actually to each your goal weight! Unless your doctor has given you strict instructions to lose so much weight for a medical reason, like diabetes type 1 or 2, I think it might be best to modify your goal weight to maintain optimum health. You are right that a diet of greasy fast food is not at all healthy for a person if any age, but if you really think you need to lose weight for MEDICAL reasons, I would advise strength training to build shapely muscle as the best thing to do. Just some advice from an old fat lady who is considering what is most healthy thing for you to do. I hope I haven’t offended you by giving you this advice. I hope you teach the goals of optimum health and an APPROPRIATE weight. Let me know how you do.
