According to the Atkins Quick Start pamphlet, 1-2 Atkins bars or shakes are OK in Induction, as long as they're labeled as appropriate for Induction. Once you get to OWL, I know that whey protein in homemade shakes is fine because the book lists a few homemade shake recipes in the OWL breakfast section.

It's the nitrites/nitrates and sodium in deli meats that can create a problem, as well as any fillers (with carbs) that might be in them. From my own perspective only, it's just something to be aware of....as long as you're not eating LOTS of deli meats, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you eat a lot of the deli-type meats and aren't losing, then consider dropping out the deli meats. Applegate Farms has a line of deli meats (packaged like Hillshire Farms, Oscar Mayer, etc.) that are minimally preserved and have no nitrates or nitrites. One could always use thinly-sliced beef from a roast, so you would be in control of the sodium and there'd be no fillers. In general, I believe that the more fresh foods you can eat, the better....cooked by you, no ingredients you can't pronounce, no additives/preservatives, etc. That said, I DO disregard my own advice on a regular basis!
