Banana bread sounds lovely but you're right, it probably doesn't have the makings of being good for weight loss. Still, maybe a kg either side of your target is a good range to aim for - you want to be eating 'real' food for good, not 'dieting' for ever

@Phooka - Agree. Trying hard not to get upset by the gains. On an unrelated subject, does anyone notice that bowel movements are erratic when you cut down on the bulk in your diet?

@Eva - Our scales have a function for measuring body fat. I believe it reads the resistance against a small electronic pulse through your body.....

Yes, Willie - it's the fibre that keeps you moving and regular. You could get ground psyllium husk to take which is a fibre supplement. Easy to get from Holland & Barrett in the UK but you're not in the UK, are you?

@Eva, I had a "BodPod" analysis done, similar accuracy to hydrostatic weighing (but not wet!). Next switching to DXA, most accurate method. I'm bracing myself for higher body fat reading than BodPod gave. Both inexpensive where I live. --- Keeping journal private is very valid option, wise in some cases. I re-opened mine but turned comments off bc I don't have energy right now for dealing w the handful of people I wished I hadn't let follow me. Negative comments about pics of foods, unsolicited advice assuming I should be trying to lose, one person spouting seriously invalidating advice to disregard my body's signals, and eat less. If FS had a remove-follower function, more people would share journals at that level.

@Phooka - Outside UK, but I'll see if I can find similar. @T8 - Good advice. Didn't realise you could not block someone. I suppose you would just have to report unsavoury sorts to site admin?

@Willie, nothing unsavory went down, so nothing report-able. Different preferences for using the site, different tones, is all. I'm sure plenty of people un-follow me because I post too much. If there were a block/mute function, they wouldn't have to see my comments on others' posts, either. :-)
