I seem to do better when I can claim all my calories first thing in the morning, even if I don't eat some of them until dinner. In my mind, for some reason, my brain says, you already ate those calories, STOP! I'll go with it. =)

I like to claim ahead as well. It makes me think up a plan and be accountable to it. Plus if I deviate from it.. I can look at my options to make the best possible choices. Im a pepper too. ITs one thing I am missing but I know it helps me to cheat even further. Maybe after I loose about 1/2 of my goal, I can have a cheat treat and not mess up my universe. Great post!
