3.1 miles walked with the doggies in the chilly cold this AM; DH along for .8 before he turned into an ice cube - LOL! Anyway, not the most pleasant day to walk, but than again, it could have been a whole lot worse. My Collie, especially, needed a good long walk to get some excess energy burned off!

Indoor, household stuff to do today and then I'll be grilling some steaks and pork chops later. Gotta check the noon weather report to know when it will be the warmest to do this....

WOE feeling like a better fit these days. I just went through an extended period of time where I felt almost panicky about the whole thing. I just felt off....too hungry, scale moving in the wrong direction, stress eating, panicked that this WOE seemed to be falling apart (even when it really wasn't), etc. All in all, I just needed to persevere and CALM DOWN!

After nearly 2 years on this WOE, it's just NOT going to fall apart. Will I make some poor decisions from time to time....sure. But I need to feel, and trust, that I can make the right decisions MOST of the time and do what I need to do. This WOE is my "normal" now and I just need to relax into that reality and feel that confidence.

I never used to feel that a lo-o-o-o-ng "diet" was anything but terrible. Now, I appreciate that once you've been on a new WOE for an extended period of time, it truly does become a new WOL. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that if you've lost weight over a very extended period of time, it will be less likely that you'll regain it because of all the "new" habits that have become second nature to you over that longer period of time. At least that's what I tell myself and I hope to prove the theory!!!

I sure hope your right Sandy..cause its taken me a long time to lose what I have..and along the way I have traded the bad foods I was eating for the good foods..and like you I learned to make better choices and really love the foods now...LOL your DH wimped out on ya.. Now thats funny...our tough guys...have a great evening...:O)

It WAS pretty comical, Bren, but, you know, it was just one of those days when he got cold and just could not warm up no matter what he did....even exercising/walking. I was surprised to see your entry...thought you'd still be off visiting relatives....or did I get the dates wrong?
