Hi, I used the low carb bars last time and im sads to say i gained as well. I really cant explain why as i never went over my carb limit but they really took their tole on my scales!!!

I think it may be the soy protein in them. I don't have a sensitivity to soy when it comes to things like soy sauce or the actual soy beans but soy protein is really concentrated soy - so I think that may be it. I'll let you know how it goes :)

I have a sensitivity to soy and I think that might have been my downfall as well. When I do have them I have just part of one. If it is a 3g net carb bar I cut it in 3, for 2g ones I cut them in 2 and put them in baggies. I don't have more than one piece a day and just for a snack if I don't have anything else so I am not tempted by junk food. I think that makes a difference.

Something that I'd noticed was that I was feeling slow and sluggish. I really haven't felt that way on this diet at all before that. Crap. They were just so easy to throw into my purse or book bag and go with. ~sigh~ Some thing else that I realized today while grocery shopping is that all of the stuff that's really bad for you is really cheap but the healthy stuff is significantly more expensive. That just irritates me to no end.

I am going to go without the bars for a week and see what happens. I haven't been feeling slow or sluggish or bloated, the way I used to feel, but the scale just isn't moving much. It goes between 149 and 150 daily.

I have never tried the bars or the shakes. I am scared that I would get too carried away with them. I just started back eating the low carb candies. I have limited myself to only two peices a day. Stuff like this will make you gain weight from over eating it or because of hidden ingredients, but I have also noticed that the candy helps curves my appetite.

Well, I wasn't over eating the bars. I really stayed far below my carb intake for the day but I think that I have a sensitivity to the concentrated soy protein in the bars. They were just really convenient. I liked the sugar free candies but I noticed that I was having sugar cravings when I was eating them. For me, they just don't seem to work. The interesting thing about this diet is that I'm finding out where my food sensitivities are.

I was staying well under my carb intake also... I think maybe the soy protein does something to me as well, hum... I also noticed that I'm sensitive to too much cheese, as it bloats me! I've cut down to no more than one ounce daily.
