I can use the MCT oil in my coffee. It adds no flavor and doesn't leave the greasy feel that co always did for me. Yay!
On other note I just finished grinding my own ground beef. I ran into the store yesterday for some non frozen chicken (I was feeling lazy) and picked up the chicken, plus almost 6 pounds of beef for 3 dollars a pound. No, not grass fed or anything just plain old supermarket beef. It was a mix pack and had a few mini steaks and boneless beef rib cuts. I took my kitchen-aid mixer out and finally used my grinding attachment. I haven't used it at all since I brought it, 2 years ago. I found the attachment for 10 bucks and decided why not. I looked at the beef today and decided to try it. Why didn't I use it sooner? It's better than the regular store ground beef since you don't know what is in it at the store. And sometimes when trimming a roast or other cuts I have some scraps that would be perfect for ground beef. I can also see using it to grind chicken for my chicken pizza crust. Money saver.
I'm thinking burgers for dinner tonight, or maybe try low carb meatloaf for the family. I haven't decided yet but I have the ground beef.
