I've decided that weighing in every morning is too demoralizing! It's up, its down... yet for weeks I've revamped my entire way of eating and portions. My blood sugars are going in the right direction, and that was my initial interest in getting 50 lbs off. The other was that starting Jan 31( booked) I am having the first( shoulder/ knees) of four joint replacement surgeries and want to go into surgery in the best shape I can be. Today I'm getting the first of three knee injections of the eufflexa ..fake joint fluid .. anyone had this?

Oh wow, four joint replacement surgeries? My thoughts and prayers are with you for those. I know that *no* surgeries are fun, but shoulders are the worst... I've only had both rotator cuffs done, with bone spur removals and one frozen shoulder/synovitis, and the recoveries are just...ick. I never had the eufflexa injections though, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. But one comment about the weighing every day thing: I do mine every day (despite the daily fluctuations) just for the preventative nature of it. I want to stay ahead of any "big creeps" so to speak, and keep myself from getting back to the point of finding myself going "Wow, I'm 15 pounds overweight again, where did this come from?" If I see the scale start creeping back up two or three pounds, it's so much easier to adjust course, then if you weigh infrequently and see a sudden jump of 5 or 10 pounds. Anyway, best of luck to you on your surgeries!!!

I weigh twice a week - once on Wednesday and then either Saturday or Sunday. Good luck with your surgeries!

I weigh twice a week, I get what you are experiencing, I underwent double/partial knee replacement last Aug and Dec. Reducing your weight is very important!
