I am home from my last 2 outings and in 2 days I leave again. Since I am doing all this traveling right now I am leaving my weight as it is and will weigh in again when I am home to stay for awhile.

This past weekend I was at our church's women's retreat. The amount of goodies there was crazy. But I sat across the room from them and only had a couple of cookies. I am feeling good about that. After I got home last night I did 3 loads of laundry and canned 7 quarts of pears. Whew! Tonight I will be finishing up the last of the pears and that will be the end of canning this year for me.

That's a bunch of pears! I love canning. I'm looking forward to turkeys going on sale for the holidays. I get about an 18-pounder every year, bone it out and can the meat. So nice and easy for a quick dinner!
