As you get older, you have to work harder to get the weigh off. How many calories a day are you eating? Maybe try eating 1300 a day for a week and see what happens. Also look at what you are eating. Are you eating a lot of processed foods? They contain a lot of sodium and can inhibit weight loss in some people. Focus on whole foods. Protein and high fiber foods help us lose the best. Plenty of lean protein, lean dairy and fruits and veggies. Start your day with oat/banana, greek yogurt/fruit, eggs/veggies..etc. Snack on cheese sticks, yogurt, veggies/hummus, etc. Go to the library and do research to educate yourself on nutrition and how to lose as you age. Exercise can play an important roll too. If you are able, then be active. Get out and walk. You can look great at any age. You just have to find the motivation. Get some fitness magazines and read them. Take a class you have always wanted. Get some fitness videos out of the library and try them at home. Hire a personal trainer if you can afford one for a month or two to get you on track. Buy yourself a workout outfit. Take if 5 pounds at a time and reward yourself with non food items. Good luck!
