I went off plan a little this week.
I had sushi for dinner on Saturday night.
However the biggest thing this weekend was we went to a famous little place that is known for their crazy muffins. I haven't had a muffin from then since maybe last summer?

Well I had one muffin and on the way back to my boyfriends place from our condo I got a sever headache. It got worse and worse. My boyfriend made me have some root-beer for the caffeine and I had some dark chocolate until I got home. I noticed I was hungry by the time we got home (my last meal was at 11:30 am and it was 7pm now. I had the muffin around 2 or 3 pm. But still could a muffin really cause that bad of a headache?

I started researching gluten allergy or wheat intolerance symptoms. I notice I get some of them when I splurge and eat pizza, pasta or typical baked goods. I am starting to think its not worth me ever eating these things even as a treat meal. I end up feeling so crappy with headaches and achy joints it's not even worth it.... =(

I suppose if I want a cookie or something I have to make it paleo friendly

Its good thank you! Since I am done with my whole30 I notice I am slowly going towards my old broken paleo ways. Cheating on weekends and indulging in too much chocolate. I am trying to get focus without having to do another strict whole30 since it isn't as sustainable lifestyle

I agree...sustainability is very, very high on my priority list too along with eating healthy and "fixing" the occasional and inevitable food indiscretions (Ben & Jerries is a weakness for me).

Yup - that same thing happens when I eat bread products or wheat laden crackers. I avoid most baked goods.

thanks guys. I think I will just have to avoid typical bread products. It isn't worth the achyness and headaches. Thank goodness chocolate doesnt give me those effects!

Definitely sounds like you've got a sensitivity, my wife can't eat fatty foods because her gall bladder acts up and she can't eat bread because it makes her bloat. A friend of mine posted a picture of his open kitchen cabinets with the caption, "my medicine chest", yep, true words.

This is a true story... Accumulated poor eating habits...THEN half a loaf of sourdough bread, during and AFTER supper was the straw that broke this camel's back...I knew I'd feel terrible, knew it would screw my blood sugar, knew my sleep was screwed, knew I'd have a pounding head ache and racing heart rate....yet I still couldn't stop myself...next day committed to stop "killing myself" like my father (type 2 diabetis). Wow sometimes it does take a reality check to finally stop eating foods that hurt us. It is funny though. while eating the muffin, I knew I would feel crappy afterward. But I had no idea I would get a massive headache. Another sign that I should avoid those foods. I wonder why sometimes we still do things even though we know the consequences
