ok, so maybe I can embrace a different approach, temporarily. I'm eating (mostly) healthy, and working out harder than I have in years (weights with maximum effort for 16 sets) 6 days a week). Who knows, maybe this is my chance to gain muscle ..... at almost 60 year old.

Yes!!! You can be Chris Hemsworth and I can be Beyonce!! Actually I am getting stronger from increasing my walking every day and moving fallen tree logs. I am trying to eat better too. Less.

Mid-50s here and hoping to do the same -- build some muscle. Not quite as light as I'd like to be, but I'm able to maintain here with minimal effort. I'd be pleased as punch to stay this weight, but become more muscular. Good luck, and keep going!

You’re never too old. I think the actor JK Simmons started getting serious about the gym and building muscles when he was like 62 yo. and now, at 69 yo, he’s pretty buff. 💪🏼

Do it now and continue! I'm 68 and weightlift 5-6 days a week. It does get tougher every year but it's important to me so I tredge on💪💪
