I have to eat fiber one cereal for breakfast for a few days. The fiber offset some of the carbs, but it is carbs nonetheless. I experienced what might have been a blood sugar drop after very minimal exertion. It's difficult to know the difference between anxiety/panic from actual blood sugar drops/spikes. I really should carry my meter with me to test more often.

I find the traffic, here in Florida, to be stifling. I tend to be a recluse, so when I leave the comfort of my nesting, the confinement of these traffic jams is unsettling to me. Added to that the sun beats in on you and there is no escape from it. Now, I gave up whining for Lent. Even just writing about my complaints seems foolish, so I'll stop right here.

I am going further south tomorrow to meet up with my extended family for a week. My challenge will be going out to dinner every night to restaurants with fabulous chefs. My plan is to follow my skinny sisters lead and eat whatever she orders.
More about my successes later 😱
For now, I'll pray that the FORCE of FS and my buddies ride on my shoulders. I am grateful that I have today to meditate and pack before the enthusiasm consumes me.

Chicago traffic is ridiculous. Plus I practically live in Chinatown and it can become so stressful watching others drive. It's coming to the point where I feel like I should take a pill before riding with DH. Now my teenager is in driver's Ed and she wants me to take her on the highway. Uh.. H No... The other day she was driving to work and stopped at the green light to let oncoming kg traffic turn left. Um... No, I'm not taking her out on the highway. I feel like the worst parent but I just cannot do it.

Funny, I just heard on TV, that Los Angeles has the worst traffic in the U.S..

Sarah, I empathize. SF Bay Area traffic here. Some days just the thought of having to go somewhere...particularly in rush hour traffic...can make you exhausted. @Mistybenner, when we drive in Chinatown in SF, my husband always drives. He swears it's much like it was driving in Viet Nam.

Also, Misty. Be careful letting you teenager drive too much too soon. I don't want to scare you, but big city driving, and I hate to say, especially for ladies, can be difficult. I taught, in car, drivers training, and it was an eyeopener. I had my car the day I was 16, but must say, I'm lucky to be alive. I was almost killed in a car accident, when I was 27. A guy ran a red light with a brand new car. Interesting, a guy was on his first date, and his date was screaming, "He is still alive!" Lucky, he was my witness, that the guy ran the light.

Oh boy... Yes like I said, I just can't do it. A couple blocks to her work and home and to school, I can take, some days...
