your doing awesome my bat wings are like 10x worse than yours were at the beginning of your weight-loss journey which I know it is from 2015 I was 220lb went up to 270 and by 2016 I had gained a 100lb and was 370 my arms got huge even though I lost 30lbs back it left awful wings and they still have fat on them wishing I could tone them up I've been doing resistance bands and it's helping but it's nothing like lifting like you do...Awesome job

@sara The pic with the black shirt is after a 40lb lose, & my second visit to the gym. There is only a 10lb lose between these pics. If you scroll on my timeline, the arms in the yellow dress is actually the beginning of my journey. If I can do it, you can too! My arms were so heavy in the beginning, I didn't even want to move them at all, let alone lift anything with them! You can do it, Sara! Believe in yourself! Baby steps... 🙂

@sara I always try to find the positives in any situation, because the negatives have a habit of repeatedly slapping us in the face. The positive about being big (and I can say this as a big girl), you have more muscle hiding under there than you realize. Our bodies have had to build lots more muscle than the average or thin size person, just so we can maintain our daily activities. That's why I chose to make a turn for building muscle now vs later. The more weightloss, the more the lose of muscle with it from naturally eating less protein, unless you're making getting enough in a goal & not just counting calories & to top it off, you'll be carrying less weight around daily which means less need for as much muscle without strength training. Personally, I'd rather not lose the muscle & then have a lower starting point later on. My wings are so big that I really need to try to fill them out with muscle to keep from having the appearance of too much loose skin anyway.

@ejeanmard Thanks! 💜 Then, swim, baby, swim! Swim a little longer and harder each time. Consistency & progression is key! 😉 I'm willing to bet you can do more though, if not you will be able to soon! Our biggest limitations are implemented by our minds. Better results come from doing the hard things that we THINK we can't. Believe in yourself!

What an honor that you feel that way! 💜 I do lots of combination exercises that involve using muscle GROUPS & some isolation exercises as well; assisted dips, cable chest flys, overhead presses, bicep curls, hammer curls, tricep pushdowns, etc. If you'd like to know EXACTLY what I do, download the HEVY app & give me a follow on there. Same username as here. It really is a great app! You can put in what muscle you want to train, and it will give you a list of exercises, great for us beginners! 🙂👍
