No walking for me today; no walking for the doggies. We did get some relief with a bit of cloud cover, so I opted to do the lawn in the "cooler" part of the day. A thunderstorm came up, so I had to rush to finish and then couldn't take advantage of the pool. Turns out, we got no rain at all, at least so far. Bummer.
A friend of mine from high school has a 30th wedding anniversary coming up this month. She and her DH are truly gems. We accidentally lost touch for a couple years due to moves on both our parts. When we reconnected, she told me that, out of all the weddings she's been a part of and out of all the individuals who were in her wedding party, we're the only 2 couples still married to our first spouses! That's great - but also really sad.
