I just ordered a pair of sketchers go walks. I heard a lot of positive things about them, I hope they're true. I don't want to have to get my regular sneakers and SOCKS out for a doggy walk. My new dog tries to eat all socks, I guess he considers them food. Walking him in my flip flops is not a smart idea, except for the quick walks we also do - between 1/4 and 1/2 mile. My son and I started the mile walks today with him. We got 2 in today. This is also training for my son since we are going to do the crazy inflatable 5k in November. We will start at a mile and work up to the 3.3 miles. I would rather start smaller and work up to more. After we work up to 3.3 miles we will work on speed. Walk before you run. :) I'll go back to running shoes then. I just have to remember to bring the puppy's water with our water when we go for longer walks.
