3.3 miles walked this morning with doggies along for 1.2 miles. I took them on the shadiest streets and, since it was "only" 82 degrees when we started, I felt I could stretch their mileage from .8 to 1.2 miles. Just gotta keep an eye on my gal with the heart murmur...she turns 7 in a few weeks.

Once I got back, it was time for a dip in the pool - that's getting to be pretty routine these days. Then a shower, breakfast, a few household chores and then off to the thrift store.

The store looked like a small tornado hit it, with clothes thrown over the racks and on the floor and lots of items to be brought out, as well. Busy, busy, busy. It seems as if the (dis)order of the merchandise gets worse, faster, when things are already messed up. If we can manage to get the clothes and other items tidied up, then it seems to stay that way. It's almost as if the customers see things just tossed over the racks, so they think it's OK if they do that too, but if things are picked up and organized, then they try to do their part and keep things neat. So, it becomes a race to get things put back in order before it all gets wa-a-a-y out of control!

After the store, I went grocery shopping. Didn't need a whole lot, but I'm already halfway to the store when I'm at the thrift shop, so I might as well just continue on instead of making a separate trip.

Grocery shopping has become an interesting adventure these days as DH is not on Atkins anymore. He's sort of doing calorie counting, sometimes flirting with Atkins, but truly he has just not come up with a plan he wants to follow. So, each grocery trip, I've got to ask him exactly what he wants me to get for him...bread this week, or not; fruit this week, or not. What about cereal and milk? You get the idea.

I've been having the feeling of low-key anxiety lately, kind of an unease, and I suspect this dietary change of his has had a little to do with it. But, I know I can be strong and just do what I need to do regardless of what he's doing or the other non-Atkins foods that are in the house or his own indecision on his WOE.

Bren, I was always a stickler for keeping clothes in line when I worked retail, but I also worked in a craft/hobby/fabric store for a time. Keeping clothes straightened, pales in comparison to keeping all the doodads in their proper places in one of those stores! Ever try keeping macrame beads sorted, sized and organized? Gosh, does anyone even do macrame any more??!!
