It's Sunday and I have places to go, people to see, things to do! My lazy phase is over now :)! Low carb focus continues. Still trying to document my diet for the day so that it helps to keep me focused - that is working well for me. I kept forgetting to weigh but I did so today ... nothing much has changed in that area but I feel lighter. A drop is going to come soon .. I feel it. :)
For those who have been following the saga with my Land Rover - I still don't have it back as yet. They are waiting on the parts to arrive via the US and I am holding tight! I was getting more anxious about the whole thing and my husband went with me to the shop. I love doing things for myself but I have to say, in this case, having my husband there seemed to work a lot better since he knows what he's looking at and I have no clue except for windshield washer fluid and the regular stuff. He had a chance to do a walk-through with the assigned technician and look at the situation himself, ask questions, etc. I felt much better after that although it was hard to see the guts of my vehicle on tables! Thank God these are specialists with Land Rovers. Now I am crossing my fingers for the final parts to arrive and with that, I should have my vehicle on Tuesday or so. I am grateful that I don't need to do a lot of driving right now because I am working from home - but it is highly inconvenient. A couple years ago I would have been freaking a bit because I was in a conventional office!
My daughter's animation competition went very well. I am so very proud of her. She was the only singular competitor, the youngest competitor and the most inexperienced. She said she was overwhelmed and felt so alone since her partner has a few years experience and was supposed to take the lead on the animation ..... but she pushed through and completed the assignment. She did not win the competition (she made peace with that) but her teacher was sooooooo incredibly impressed and happy. It was not even about the final animation she created, although he was very pleased and showed the final product at school today. It was about her work ethic, her focus and resilience in the face of all the challenges. He has so much respect for her! Being the youngest competitor, doing this for the first time and doing it all alone although everyone else had a partner. She kept saying she could have done better, but it is clear to me that what she accomplished, was so much more than winning!!! I love that kid so much!
Piano lessons today ... borrowing my sister's car to drive my daughter across town. The weather is getting slightly better folks! I sniff a whiff of spring in the air! Days are getting longer and Disney vacation is getting closer! Yay! Have a great day and be golden!!!
