Scale was down a bit. Today was day 2 at the gym. Walked on the treadmill for an hour. Already hit my daily step goal for the day. Also worked out my shoulders with the help of the owner. He helped walk me through it since it's been 10 years since I was last in a gym. It was good. Tomorrow will be too busy to hit the gym up. So for now Wednesday will be a rest day. Thursday I may do the shoulder work out before walking. I think it might work out better that way. But we will see.
Just keep working it.

Congrats for getting started at the gym! You should get some variety in resistance training, if possible. You will see more overall benefit (and burn more calories) if you work some larger muscle groups, including muscles in your back, chest, and legs. Hopefully the owner can show you some more exercises. If not, youtube is a great resource. Another member would probably be willing to help you out, but you might find it awkward to ask. Best wishes!

@Zapotz: I will be working out a routine with the physical therapist help is the plan. Limited bending and twisting at the waist for me makes it a bit more difficult. The gym owner helped me with a couple machines and weights yesterday for my shoulders though. The weights were super light but all in all it was effective. I'm feeling the pain today, in a good way. I'm already looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. ^_^
