It was a nice little victory halfway through my month of March Madness to get off of my strict diet for the weekend.
This Friday I said F*CK IT and drank the sugar-free soda I gave up for lent. I enjoyed every part of it so much that I didn't just stop at one. I bought a six-pack of the bottles and drank them over the course of Saturday too.
I also enjoyed eating pulled pork and coleslaw on a fancy role that I toasted. The best part was the side of sour cream and chive mashed potatoes and corn. For dessert, I made Macadamian nut cookies I dipped in almond milk. It was only 15 minutes to make everything because I cheated and used prepackaged meals. My family still loved it.
Saturday, I made my first Tik-Tok video ever. A veggie pizza recipe. My daughter and I laughed and laughed while adding a very annoying song to it.
Then later I was invited to my friend's birthday party and ate their Mostacolli, garlic knots, bacon-wrapped asparagus, a few chips and... The largest corner piece of birthday cake with extra frosting. I ate it like I was starving while saying: I have been starving myself for 2 weeks for this piece of cake.
Sunday, I didn't drink any soda or eat any carbs.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror as I got dressed for work this morning and I admired the difference in my body. I didn't go to the gym first thing this morning because I slept in but I figure that will be ok because it's 700 calorie burning Aqua Zumba tonight.
