Kitchen window has to be completely replaced but it will have to wait until Spring because of the timing (it's too cold outside and it takes 6 weeks for the order to be delivered ... it will be even colder then). It was cedar lined along with the other one (which is not a bay window). I won't be doing cedar lined windows again (for that matter I won't be doing a bay window again) so I will have to replace both windows to make them uniform :o!
The cost? Well I am sure it will be about $4000 because the windows are non-standard (of course!!!!). Anyway, in the meantime we patched the rot superficially and the window will be painted so that the kitchen renovation will be seamless. As for the main floor refresh, I am still waiting for the final quote from the painter - I am hoping to get that project going next week or the following with the aim of finishing everything before Christmas Holidays! On an up note, the cabinets are in and it is looking FANTASTIC!!!!! Oh my ... it is looking wonderful. I know it will be splendid once the countertop is in! Happy me!
