Another eventful day in kitchen renovation madness. From the moment I got up early this morning I was chasing deliverance. Electrician, lighting fixtures, ceiling hooks, school drop off, school pick up, project management content creation for my client, interesting dish washing solutions and strategic meal planning. One really amazing thing that happened today was that my 15 yr old daughter received 3 awards for academic achievement in geography, science and sociology and she's on the honour roll. In the middle of all the craziness I took a 2 hour break to attend the award ceremony at her school and celebrate with her..... totally worth it!!! I thought she had made the honour roll when I was invited to attend, but I was so surprised at the other three awards. So proud of her. She works hard and deserves the achievements. It was the moment of calm in my day ... that and now when I am on FS. So the electrical work is done and I chose the lighting fixture. Next up: Flooring. It will be traumatic as they are ripping out everything and rebuilding. This morning I walked right by the fridge in the dining room and headed for the kitchen - the emptiness assaulted my eyes before I remembered that I no longer have a kitchen. I'll get used to this eventually (then it will be over and life will go back to "normal").
Eating simply and focused - what more could I ask for right now?
