A personal trainer is great, but these frugal finds bring your workout into your own home without breaking the bank.

Journal for Thursday: Eight hours of sleep yesterday with one wide awake episode.

Morning plank and ten minutes first thing in the morning on the Air Walk Trainer to burn off glycogen.

Thursday was an up day on the Alternate-Day Diet (eat all I want) because I had lunch with my aunt: pepper steak, coffee, and fried bananas with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Cardio: one hour on the Air Walk Trainer plus five minutes every hour to offset the effects of sitting. Steps: 1,781. That beat my all time record, set Tuesday, for one day. My new daily average is 733. My goal is to beat the daily average every day and keep raising it.

Latest addition to the kitchen: Lodge Manufacturing SCRAPERGPK Grill Pan Scraper, 2-Pack, for scraping my new Lodge cast iron skillet.
