Five hours of hours of sleep, followed by a two hour of drowsing while listening to podcasts. Time to take the fans out of the windows. It's definitely cooling off.

Morning plank. Ten minutes on the Air Walk Trainer first thing in the morning to burn off glycogen.

Today is a cheat day on the Alternate-Day Diet and a rest and recovery day for exercise.

Cardio: 40 minutes on the Air Walk Trainer. Steps: 370. Started wearing blue light blocking glasses at dusk.

Big argument in my head is whether to make my own KIND bars or go ahead and subscribe and save for another batch of 12. They are expensive but not as expensive as ingredients and utensils it would take to make my own - at least in the startup phase.

I've been bulking up on fiber partly to lower my cholesterol, partly get rid of the stuff I have now which has artificial sweetener. I'm making progress on getting rid of artificial sweetener. I finished off the Body Fortress. I'm working on the Slim Fast and the psyllium fiber. The question is whether the fiber will last me until my subscribe and save ships in November.

An upside of getting a replacement tablet is that I will have Bluetooth 4.0 which is compatible with the Misfit Shine. I had some good luck for a change today. I turned on the Nook HD+ and the screen worked. Maybe I mistook a software bug for a hardware failure. I decided not to cancel my order for a new tablet because it happened once, it can happen again. It's always a good idea to have a backup. I'm thinking about getting a cover for the Nook in the Kindle because resting it on the air walk trainer means sometimes it falls off. Hasn't broken yet but that's always a possibility. The tablets have been boon companions during my cardio exercise. Streaming movies and television shows while exercising makes the time go that much faster and enjoyably. I'm not doing much today, just streaming "Life" on Netflix, enjoyable but intense two-season murder mystery show. I don't know how I missed it on network television the first time around, but I'm glad I'm catching up .

The Nook HD+ battery life keeps decreasing. It's now down to two hours. I can see the point where it ends up in the kitchen plugged in all the time with me using it as a cookbook. It's either that or I replace the battery myself which can be done I have the tools to do so. Update: the screen has started flickering.

I made myself a peanut butter and jelly protein smoothie today just to change things up. I overdid the protein today. I was being cautious. I'm not looking forward to scraping off the burnt bread from the crock pot. I may have to soak it.
