Sometimes I wonder if I am making progress. Not so much in losing weight but how I view it. I am impatient and hate the up and downs. I always feel foolish when I finally do lose a pound. I know maybe I should only weigh once a week but I am compelled to get on that darn scale and see how I am doing. I know I look and feel better but when I look in the mirror sometimes I see the same fat Judy. Stupid isn't it? Well This week I am going to practice accepting myself where I am right now and not worry about where I am going. That is the plan anyway we will see if I can do it.

No Judy, it is not stupid. We all do what you are doing at some point in our weight loss journeys. Your weight loss history is impressive, it is going down and that is the right direction. I personally weigh once a week, is that better?, maybe I need to start doing it daily, I recently I read an article that said people who weigh daily are more successful in losing their weight so maybe I need to do what you are doing. Try to celebrate your losses when you feel impatient. I also have a screwered image of me like you do. We need to look in the mirror and see what is there versus listening to our old tapes of how we think we still look. I think you can do it, you have wonderful insight.
