I am very glad I have learned not to pay attention to the scale except for on my "official" weigh in day (Mondays) because yesterday I was down 1.5 pounds and today I was up 5. In the old days I would have gone on a eating binge because of it saying my weight was up and me getting the oh well I might as well go whole hog since I am up anyway mood. But the new me just says tomorrow is another day and whatever caused it to go up today will let it fall back down tomorrow (different clothes, water gain whatever). That is all thanks to various people on here who have helped me realize that losing the weight and feeling good is more important than a scale number. If I never lose another pound it doesnt matter because I know I tried and thats half the battle. I will not let my old habits win anymore, I am stronger and more focused now. Hoping to join a gym soon and start really losing the pounds. Today was a day from hell at work but I didnt turn to chocolate I just let it go, food is not the answer anymore.

Exactly! I *try* not to care about my non-Wednesday (official) weigh-ins as well, but it can be so hard. Keep at it!

I ignore the scale on bad days and just keep looking at the tape measure. You have a wonderful attitude. Keep it up!
