I'm not a personal trainer, but if I were to personally train with 2kg, I'd say 'shoulder training', if you move it slowly, 'you can train it to some extent'.
The muscles in the shoulders are surprisingly large, so "training them will help boost your metabolism.
When you can do three sets of 20 repetitions slowly, it is time to increase the weight.

Do whatever you can. Don't forget to take a note of how many sets and reps you did
The next time you do the movement, try to better your performance by increasing the amount of reps/sets/effort
That's progressive overload which is an important part of resistance training
