Good morning!! Thank god it's Friday because this lady needs a break. I'm exhausted. I'm tired of waking up early and going to work, tired of staying up late in class, tired of miles.... just tired. Working eleven hours today... and I need to get in my miles lol.
I got in four miles yesterday. Husband got home a little early so I was able to sneak out for a bike ride in between work and class. It was a pleasant surprise. I'm finally over 50 miles lol, so only twenty-some to go by next Thursday.
All things food have gone well. I'm going to do my best this weekend to make sound decisions in the department of eating. The plan is to continue to log, but weekends don't often follow rules. We will see :)
I am cold. Overnight lows have been ridiculous, it feels like October not July. Glad I'm not tent camping lol. That is an unnecessary bit of info in today's journal lol, I'm tired!
Husband and I might take the kids to CP tonight so they can see the laser show and fireworks. My daughter would love the show. Just trying to break out of the norm and start the weekend on a good note. We're invited to a birthday party tomorrow but we might ditch for a day at the waterpark instead. Breaks from family are never a bad thing, at least they aren't in this family lol. I wish I had a cabin far away that I could go to on weekends.... "nope, sorry we are going to be out at the cabin". Maybe I'll grow up and move somewhere beautiful, like Montana or Maine. They would never look for me there. I plan to run away more as an adult than I ever did as a child, isn't that funny. Now that I can run the possibilities are endless lol.
I was outgoing and talked to people in class last night. I was my normal awesome self and I think it's going well. Shutting out the negativity and self doubt and trying to focus on taking care of #1, which I recently discovered is me. Going to start looking for a new job. Kiddos start school Aug 26th, so if I can find something part time day shifts a few days a week then I'll be all set. Excited to move on to the next phase in my life, and away from the negativity and drama. I'm setting myself free of that, those crosses are not mine to bare.
Speaking of setting yourself free did you know that you shed sooo many skin cells that human's actually shed their skin (in it's entirety) more often than snakes? Yup, it's true. And did you know that the heat your muscles generate simply by keeping you in an upright position contributes 25% of your overall body heat? Pretty interesting stuff.
