Took advantage of DH taking the dogs out walking today and so stayed inside and climbed the Stairmaster for 45 minutes. Low level, but climbed over 2 miles and maxed out my HR on tops of just about every hill, so needed arm support :( I also felt more muscle weakness in my legs than previously, but then again, I haven't done SM in awhile and I'm not sure I've tried the 45-minute workout before, either.

We've been testing out a funny quirk in our "new" scale (Taylor). I've been noticing that if I weigh myself at, let's say, 6:00AM, after having used the bathroom, but then go back to sleep, get up maybe 1.5 hours later and use the bathroom again - having ingested no food or drink in between - that I will get exactly the same scale reading!!

It's almost as if the scale has a way of ensuring that if you're in the area of a previously calculated weight, within a certain time period, the scale will not change....kind of a forced consistency beyond its stated .2-lb accuracy. That accuracy amounts to 3.2 ounces. Now, I certainly expect that if I get on the scale 5x in a couple of minutes that I should weigh the same, but I don't appreciate the scale doing what it seems to be doing over a longer period of time.

I know for a fact that the previous scale (HoMedics) would have shown at least a small weight reduction under the above scenario. I told DH about it and he even tested that out for himself today and found the same thing! He then went and held a small amount of clothing while stepping on the scale and it registered no change. He had to add quite a bit of clothing before it registered a change, much more than 3+ ounces!

Makes me think I should NOT be weighing myself until I'm absolutely up for the day - guess that's one way to stop obsessing about numbers on the scale!
