Walked 3.3 miles this morning (2.6 w/poochies) and boy, was it gorgeous! I had to return home after just one of my loops to drop the jacket and change into shorts!! 60 degrees when I started and already 65 around lunch time. Clear blue skies, lots of sunshine (got that vitamin D thing going on my bared legs). We're supposed to have days like this all week long.
My weight loss goal of 175 by 2/15 was missed, but only by 1 pound. I consider it a victory because I changed scales after setting up this goal and it added 2 pounds. If I convert my year-ending weight to the new scale, I've actually lost 6 pounds since Jan. 1 when I was trying to lose 5. When I do hit 175, I'll be 2/3rds of the way to goal. I'm already in weight territory I haven't seen since fall 1989/spring 1990, over 20 years ago!
If I can push for an extra pound between now and 4/1, I'll be right back on track. Right now, my 4/1 goal is to get to 170, so that's 6 pounds in about 6 weeks. If I can make that by even 4/15, I'll be OK with my progress.
By 4/15, or sooner, assuming I'll be at 170, I'll set up a few more goals for the summer. I still want a few more weeks of seeing how my body is responding to the lower weights that it hasn't seen in ages.
