We made it to Manchester, New Hampshire! We checked in just a little while ago. Cliff has gone across the street to pick up our lunch at Applebee's. I'm having a steak and some broccoli. Can't believe that Cliff even mentioned us getting a pizza. The old me would have jumped at the chance. I told him if he really wanted one to go ahead and order one for himself. He decided to eat Applebee's take out with me. So far right on track with the plan. We are supposed to eat dinner at my son's place tonight. My daughter in law is making dinner for us. Our son, Nate, said that Christine is really nervous about our visit. Hopefully all her butterflies will be gone after we start our visit this evening. Tried to call and text my son. He is probably still at work or sleeping. He works long hours and works nights. Back to dinner tonight. I'm praying that there is something that is Atkins friendly. I taught my kids that if they were invited to eat somewhere to eat what was served and be thankful. We are very thankful. Especially thankful that we get to visit everyone. Can't hardly stand it. I will get to hold my precious grandaughter Simone tonight. Hope that all of you are having a great day. Stay safe. Hugs to all{{{}}}

Good luck dear with eating dinner tonight, as you say you will just have to pray that there is some protein and a veggie and that you can skip the rest without offending the DIL. Enjoy the time with your son and granddaughter. Hoping all goes well.

Thanks Issy, Leanne, and Pixi! We are enjoying a nice quite Saturday right now. Just got back from taking all out to lunch. My WOE has suffered this weekend. Decided not to made a big deal of it and get back on track Monday. Not using this as a license to pig out though. My situation is not totally in my control right now as to what I can eat. I may get voted off the challenge I am in right now...Last One Standing. Oh well...I don't get to see my son and his family very often. Hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Sounds wonderful, Cindy...and we taught our kids the same. And another thing we have in common...my oldest son's name is Nathan and we call him Nate! lol
