Day 21 - 30 minutes/8.6 miles/126 watt ave./71 rpm ave.
Had no kerosene for the heater in the garage. The debate.. Run to Home Depot and get the K1 or just ride in the freezing cold. Option 2 was chosen. After sweating for 10 minutes I was thanking myself. Starting to note watt average to see the correlation between calorie output vs. mileage. If it's harder to pedal, I should be working harder, ergo burn more active calories. I used to ride at 100 watts steady, but slower songs require slower cadence/more resistance to keep pace. (I imagine I'm having a conversation about this with any one of you over coffee, but I'm sure if we had coffee together we would be talking about our kids and jobs and not stationary bike work rate.)
"You Can Call Me Al" - Paul Simon. (No, that song wasn't on, and I'm not particularly fond of it. But it is my name, and I think I'll work song titles into my blogs to reflect my mood going forward. This way, the people that like and scroll past my posts without actually reading the content will miss out. Ha.)
