Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, as I'm sure a lot of you will not be on site until next Monday. I probably won't be on much, myself.
DH and I will be having our "meal" right here, no guests (that we know of!). Everything will be low carb, as this is our 4th TG holiday on this WOE. Our splurge will be pumpkin cheesecake - YUM!!!
All outdoor exercise is rained out today. This afternoon, I'll be making up some cookies and bars (all low carb, of course). They freeze very well.
I'm thoroughly frustrated these days that I cannot drop any weight while eating proper foods. There's really no other conclusion except that some of the foods (almonds, seeds, cheese, etc.) are somehow putting me over my CLL OR that my portions are simply too high. If I delete these foods, I "should" be able to drop weight.....I'll just not be too happy doing it.
I've been able to monitor my intra-day weights for well over a year or so and there really has been a change in these last few months. I'm not sure why....been racking my brain....different supplements?....different brand of some food?....an undiagnosed medical issue? I just don't know.
For these next few days, I'm eating up the cheese, nuts, berries, etc. in preparation for eating only the foods I used on my Labor Day Blitz....meat, eggs, and very little else. NOT a happy camper, but I still have a midriff full of fat that could leave my body (good riddance!) and my dress slacks are feeling a bit snug. I didn't want to be in this place, weight-wise, at this time of the year, but it is what it is. Gotta deal with reality.
NOT happy at all. Feels like I've been trying to deprive myself all year long and drop these "last" pounds (AGAIN!) to get back to my goal weight and that's no way to live. PLUS it only nets me the same weight on the scale, or even a slight uptick. If it's like this at my age, my gosh, what few morsels will I be able to eat 10 years from now??? Somewhere, somehow, I've got to figure this out and find some livable answers.
Meanwhile, I'm not going off the deep end, still staying low-carb, but I'm going to try to relax over this weekend and not overstress about all this. If the nuts, berries, seeds, cheese get used up before next Monday, I'll go ahead and begin the Blitz method, otherwise it'll start on Monday no matter what.
