Out walking this morning for 1.6 miles with both doggies and then opted to swim laps for 30 minutes in lieu of more walking. I want to use the pool while I can...fall is on the way, even though our temps don't prove it.
Yesterday, I had a nice, busy day at the thrift store. All the various duties kept me moving for the hours I put in. Then, I had to scurry home to get the postponed grilling done before the storms came. The skies were pretty dark, but it really doesn't take much time to grill. I had already cleaned out the grill on Tuesday, so it was just a matter of loadin' it up again and lighting it. Everything got grilled, so we're good to go with meat for the next several days.
The dinner out for this weekend was moved to Saturday night and then we had a couple invite us over to their home on Sunday night. DH knows these 2 from a choir, but I don't know them at all. I always feel a bit awkward in these situations, but I'm sure it will be just fine. The hostess even adjusted the menu to drop the potato salad and replace it with a green one for us....how nice is that???!!! Overall, both evenings' menus should be low-carb....unless that hostess springs a dessert on us that's off-the-charts! Whatever.....we'll just deal with it with a smile on our faces.
