I've come to a realization this week... my body really likes to stay at my current weight while I'm nursing. I stayed at this exact same weight while nursing my firstborn and couldn't lose until I stopped nursing. So I'm adjusting my goals.
Instead of focusing on the number on my scale I'm going to work on setting some good habits, like getting into a steady exercise routine, staying consistently in my calorie range, and getting enough sleep. This way when I'm done nursing the weight should come off because I'll already be doing what I need to do to lose it.
I'm uncomfortable at my current size and weight, but getting depressed about it just makes me want to eat, so I've decided to make peace with it.
Is anyone else dealing with this forced maintaining?
