Since beginning the October Carb Counting Challenge I have seen some interesting results (so far). My weight loss has increased and the ever-problematic water retention seems to be under control. This is different in that prior to the Challenge; I had begun to experience week long stalls with regularity. I realize that stalls are a normal thing for anyone trying to lose weight...but it still can play major games with your mind.

So what's changed? I've always held myself to 20net carbs per day (and stuck to it). I think I'm somewhat afraid of not losing weight it I go above 20. Let's face it, 20 per day has taken me quite a ways. But with this challenge, I've made sure to get at least 1 veggie in per day (goal is 3). I've also added a 30 minute boot camp style workout and increased my water consumption to 100oz per day.

I'd always known that diet and exercise were the way to go...but frankly; I hate exercise (and veggies). But last nights work out wasn't THAT bad and my cauliflower wasn’t horrible.

I guess the purpose of today’s journal is to reaffirm to myself that I should continue on this path of exercise (yuck), veggies (double yuck), and extra water (gurgle). I really am seeing the benefits. And besides…nothing worth while ever came easy. If I want it…I’m going to have to work for it.

60lbs so far....WOWOWOW! And even witht he stalls looks pretty steady to me. As I understand it you cannot do the same exact things and keep on going down. Tweaking what you are doing is a continual process that continues even through maintence! Here's to us both getting there!

Doing great work! It's not always easy sticking to the diet when you have a stall but you did and that's just excellent!

BRAVO! Yes, it really is a mathematical equation, isn't it! ;) lol Serious... the right amount of moving with the right amount of good foods... equals a healthy running metabolism and weight loss! :) Keep on kickin' it up, you're doing great!
