Well, the meteorologists have again improved their INaccuracy percentage! We were supposed to be sunny and humid (of course), with just the merest chance of "showers" this afternoon. So what's up with the great big green and red blotches all over the radar???

DH got the dogs out uber-early this AM....thank you but I'll pass on going along. When I got up, the rain was close by, so I opted to do 30 minutes of lap swimming instead, which I got done before the rain - and THUNDER and LIGHTNING - came along.

Now, everything's wet (no lawn mowing, YAY!) and I'm not sure exactly how the rest of the day will shape up for me, as far as activities are concerned. I could do my weekly grocery shopping today, rather than tomorrow. That worked out very well for me last week, as I could relax and nap, if necessary, after early church on Sunday.

I've got some Kohl's Cash to spend by the end of tomorrow and my neck chain needs to go back to the jewelers for yet another repair, so I could head out for shopping. Breaking my chain was a real D'Oh moment. I had just gotten it back from repair when I broke it again within 48 hours....doing the exact same thing I did when I broke it the first time! It broke in a different place, so the most recent repair held. I'm sure they'll have a good chuckle after I drop it off for repair (again)!

Lower-carb experiment continues to go well....today is Day #6. I will have the highest carbs of the week, due to the pancake mix and blueberries, but I wasn't going to miss my usual Saturday blueberry pancakes. I'll focus on just protein and fat for the remaining part of the day and see how this all shakes out. In general, I'm not hungry at all until much later on the days I have this pancake mix. BTW....I typically don't add oil to the pancake mix, as recommended, but today I decided to try 1 tsp. of coconut oil.....YUMMY!!!!!! Very subtle, but very, very good.

Buffy, I'll give that a try. I bought some chicken thighs to do up this week as an additional meat item, because I'm going through a lot of meat these days. I bet the CO would be really good on those. Thanks for the tip!

I love coconut oil. I now use it in all my baking! I made pancakes with almond flour this morning. Have you tried cream cheese pancakes? I also love pumpkin pancakes (no flour)! What mix do you use?

Ummmm, I love blueberry pancakes too! Been a while, but honestly with the cooooold weather we have been having it is for sure pancake weather!
