Well, I did it again. :-( I pulled my hamstring again last night. I didn't realize it untill this morning. This is driving me crazy. I took over a week off from exercise, and now it still hurts. I ran yesterday, but didn't feel that I over did it. This morning was really OUCH!!! I'm stretching before, durring, and after exercise. What else could I be doing wrong??????? I really need to exercise. It not only is good for me physically, but it's been a great stress reliever too. And I'm full of stress today!!!!!! Abby won't listen and is being very yucky. I don't have another word for it but yucky. I tell her the sky is blue, and she tells me, "no it isn't." Just one of those days.

oh no! I'm a sports girl, and although I don't run, I am a year round volleyball player, playing in all day tournaments and leagues. I have had my share of injuries...and have had hamstring pulls...calf pulls, knee surgery etc. etc. etc. A week is not going to give your injury the time off it needs. You are looking more at a month off. I suggest doing light walking...and do other things to exercise...situps, arm weights....anything but running, squats or doing anything to aggrivate it. Hang in there. Tell your daughter the sky is purple and see what she says =)

Cheeks has excellent advice. Work parts of your body -- other than your pulled hammy. Try soothing stretching. Mix it up a bit. Trust me. Some day you will miss these days when your little girl was "acting up." They "act up" when they are older too -- in frightening and stressful ways. Isn't motherhood grand! Keep the faith!

Injuries are so discouraging! I hope the pull doesn't last long. You are very right about the stress release that exercise gives. Hang in there.
