No walking yesterday as it was a planned day off; 3.1 miles walked this AM. We had a cold front come thru last night, so while it was just beginning to clear up a bit, it was only 70 (!!!!) degrees when I began to walk. Major, major difference from the usual.
Today makes 26 weeks (6 months) on Atkins for me with 42 pounds lost (and hopefully never found). I wore a pair of size 14 Liz Claiborne jeans yesterday for the first time in a few years (her sizes tend to run large, though; other brands' size 16 are still snug for me). THAT was a big surprise and it felt pretty darn good!
As far as the Pre-Christmas Challenge, I'm down 10 pounds but should be down 12. By Sunday I should be down 13.5, but it's not looking good.
I had major hungries yesterday, esp. in the afternoon and then again about 9-10PM. I suppose it could be no exercise yesterday, OR it could be seeing all those food commercials during NFL games, OR it could be the added sugar in the flavored cream cheese I used on Sat. AM on my MIM, OR it could be the sugar in the ReddiWip coming back to rear its ugly head, OR it could be reduced fat in my diet lately (compared to earlier this month, or last month), OR it could be I've reduced calories too much and I'm just hungry!
Whatever the reason, I think I can make some adjustments.

This weekend, I prepared and tried rabbit for the first time. It's possible I've had this when I was a very young girl with my grandparents, as they also served squirrel from time to time. Anyway, once you can get over the fact that the carcass bears a strong resemblance to a "bunny" (go figure), it's really quite good and I'll probably have it again. US Dept of Agriculture deems it even more nutritious than chicken, with fewer calories and less cholesterol per pound. It does taste like chicken, maybe slightly tougher, but more moist. And, you cook it pretty much like a roasting chicken. At my meat market where I found it, it was $2.66 a pound for a 2-lb. rabbit. You could probably get 4-6 servings from 1 similar sized rabbit, but I was a piggy and got 2-3.
