3.3 miles walked today in total; just .8 with both dogs as my Lab was hot and again bothered by demolition noises close by so she was tucked back in the house after our first loop; 2.3 miles total with my Collie, and the rest by myself. I'm sure the neighbors wondered why I kept circling my own house, but I had to drop off a dog each time!
I'm noticing a new indentation on my face in a new place. The cheekbones have already shown some definition again but now there are indentations on the sides of my mouth. Weight loss is good, but if these furrows get deeper, I'm afraid it'll make me look older.
I still remember Rosie O'Donnell (I think) answering the question about how she continued to look young. She replied that carrying something like 50 extra pounds of fat tended to fill in one's wrinkles and make one look younger. Of course, that comment was intended to get a good laugh, but I think it's true that fat does fill out the wrinkles. Hopefully, when one stops losing weight and is in Maintenance, some of the fat redistributes itself and the face will fill back in a bit.
