The other day I looked in the mirror and realized that I am not where I want to be. It's so difficult to keep all aspects of life in balance, you know? there is a flying act involving family, friends, school, homework, real work, romantic relationships, sleep, you time, workout, and real life (taxes, registrations, etc.). once you think you have it all under control, it's easy to look back and see that you've missed a step.
The rest of my life right now is kinda outta whack and there is not a whole lot i can do about most of it, but the things I can take into my own hands just become more dear. This is one of them. Weight loss is actually just a happy side effect of my overall goal of being healthy, sane, calm, and in balance. But I'm ready to take the first step in marking my progress and holding myself accountable. I know I am strong enough.
The other question I have is: how do I diet when eating is such a large part of my life? I LOVE to eat really good food. Lucky, i like veggies the most and i have been veg for 13 years so that helps. I don't drink soda, limit alcohol, flour, sugar, and butter. I want to be more accountable for my workouts though. I climb and bike and stuff, but more is better. ...maybe I need a little food and fitness journal to keep with me and record intake and exercise.
