Things I have learned about myself since I started Atkins:

1) I ate SO MANY carbs. I'm just astounded at what I was putting into my body just mindlessly eating, comfort eating, celebratory eating....I ate carbs and protein and tiny bits of veggies.

2) I CAN do this!

3) I'm not as hungry as I always thought I was. I was bored and eating to fill the space and time. bah!!

4) My children still eat a lot of carbs. I want to teach them to make good food choices now while they are young and fit and thin, so that they don't have this struggle with weight when they are older.

5) My mother was not a good Food Role Model to me....no wonder I got this way. Now, I'm not blaming her for my bad choices, but she does get a tiny bit of it, because she didn't lead me well.

6) I'm sleeping better with less caffeine.

7) I can not go long periods without eating, or I will eat something crappy. I need small healthy snacks thru the day to hold me over, and that's ok.

8) I do not like eggs as much as I thought I did. But I will survive.
