Trying to stay positive here. I have new blood work results today. 3 months ago I had an A1C of 8.1. I refused medication. I now have an A1C of 6.5. Okay. I see the improvement. I know doctors look for a 1 point drop when they medicate you. I went down 1.6. I am proud of that. But I guess I was hoping for a miracle. I wanted a 6.0 soooooo bad! 😞. I wanted out of that nasty diabetic category! I know I am forever diabetic, but I really hoped for better. I feel like I failed myself. Good news is... The number is an average. Due to the fact that my fasting blood sugar was over 200 when I started, next average has got to be better! So, now I'm looking forward to the next A1C test. I hope it gets scheduled for 3 months and not 6! I can't wait!
