Hello everyone. Its been awhile since I've journaled. Things are going good. Haven't been able to get out and run. Very smokey out side. Fires all around us from lightening strikes over the weekend. No one is threatened right know. It a ways from us but we get all the smoke.

Went to oldest daughters swim meet last weekend. She did awesome. I was so proud of her. They cancelled the meet on Saturday due to the weather. Turned out nice on Sunday so they ran both days on Sunday. Very long day. But all 3 kids were great. Oldest swam 800 meters on sunday. She was so tired. 10 races in all. But she did take off about 30 seconds off each race from last year. Gosh she is growing up so fast.

We get a two weekend break then back to swim meets every weekend till aug.

Can't waite till school starts again and life slows down just a little. lol done babbling about weekend. Hope everyone is doing well.

Glad to hear you are safe from the fires. I know how the smoke can be quite bothersome if it gets thick enough, though. Wonderful to see that your daughters are learning to keep active at a young age. And they DO grow up so fast!

It is wonderful that you have your kids involved in activites. Swimming is the GREATEST exercise there is! I have to tell you a story about a kid at my daughters school that was on a swim team. His team was having a fund raiser and they asked people to "sponsor" a team member by pledging an amount of money per lap they would swim..or just a set amount... like $5. I decided to give him $1 per lap to make him really want to work for it. His mother told me that he usually never swam more than 20 laps and that 20 was his maximum number. he swam almost 100 laps!!!

Our club does that also. everyone usually does a set amount of about $10 each. My daughter last year her first on swim team swam 200 laps.
