This is what laziness leads to. Don’t tell me it’s ok I can get back on track...tell me to get my act together! Haha I know I can lose it again but man, maintaining is a beast! I stink at it. I like food. I like mindlessly eating. But I don’t like regaining weight I worked so hard to lose. I don’t like my pants getting tight and uncomfortable. I don’t like feeling bloated and unhealthy. I need to decide what I can live with and what I can’t. I do not want to regain another ounce.

Liquid calories aren’t my problem...just chocolate and cookies and yummy easy foods. Cooking is a pain and takes planning. Wish I had a personal chef 😉

I always tell myself in these type of situations and Im back again too I tell myself ….you get what you settle for....settle for better cutie pie and fyi Im in the same boat as you so if you begin to drown theres plenty of life savers in this group lol

liquid calories can be mine Momma if I had a bad day in nursing lol Now remember Im in the locked down unit...by myself ….and the downstairs bar does get visited by me I will choose rum and diet coke though its more safe lol well kind of safe ha ha ;)

If you find a personal chef that will make Mexican food everyday, send him to my house. I would love to come home from a hard day of playing and find my dinner on the table. Hell, I need a wife.

I went to a three day medical conference on obesity and have been writing a bit about it in my journal. But continuing with what is being said about the support from FS . Support was indicated as being almost the most important element to both the initial weight loss and long term success. That being said, the person has to understand that many family and friends who have been on this road with you before begin to suffer from diet fatigue themselves. They can become STRESSED to the point it begins to affect their lives. That is why a group of people sharing the same experience is so helpful. The negative that was talked about was that your fellow dieters can easily become your co- conspirators. Just one other point that was brought up was that when people are on this journey and stick with it and are successful it is so exciting. Everyone is excited for you. You garner a lot of positive attention and accolades for your success. Then as time goes by, that spotlight fades and that powerful support, encouragement, applause dwindles, Many folks have difficulty hanging on to that motivation. Some of this is self esteem issues where the person requires a lot of external validation to be happy. We see that a lot here. This is an area where people might benefit from therapy if that is within their resources. There is so much written about weight loss. I would so recommend that those who haven’t really read up on the problem do so. You can gain insides into the pitfalls that might be ahead of you so that you have time to think about some of the issues and develope a strategy before you even get to that obstacle. Nothing worse that getting hit with a roadblock that you didn’t know existed. .

Victory is always fleeting. It is learning the day to day which requires our attention. Develop consistent habits and learning how to cope emotionally is so important for people. And our bodies want us to survive so we need a slow and flexible way to lose and maintain weight.

So glad others are dealing with the same issues. It gives me hope that MAYBE I can stick with it this time. I'm down more than in years, but I've never stayed down before.
