Well, I made the first step in starting an exercise routine. I went to the gym today and took a tour and signed up to join it. I bought a duffel bag to bring to the gym and put all my junk in. I need to pick up a pad lock for a locker when I'm there and I think I'll be ready to start. With my membership, I get one personal trainer session and plan to ask them about the best work out for me with low back pain. I'm hoping to strengthen my core muscles and this should help to support my back better. The gym also has a whirlpool, sauna and steam room. I'm hoping these can help relax my back muscles. After I lose more weight and strengthen my back, then hopefully I can start working on some of the equipment. I've been doing more lately. I haven't gone shopping in a long time until I started losing weight and now it's not such a chore to walk around the store. I've been doing some Christmas shopping. It feels good to have better endurance. Since I've been eating more protein, I have less swelling in my legs and feel my heart is working better. I guess the protein not only improves skeletal muscle development, but also cardiac muscle. It's really nice to feel good for a change.
