Beautiful blue-sky day again but a WHOLE lot cooler! Had to walk with an earband and jacket to begin with, but had doffed both mid-way through the miles. Decided to walk the full 4.1 miles all together to enjoy the fall air AND to be able to say...."Well, no more walking until Monday!"

100-Mile challenge update: walked an extra .3 miles last night in addition to that 1-mile loop and have updated all totals on yesterday's log and journal.

After today's walk: Week 3 total so far is 9.9 miles and the challenge total is 62.1 miles.

I realized that to make 25 miles per week with 1 day off, I need to average OVER 4.1 miles per day. Somehow, my brain was thinking 4.1 per day would do it.....but that's not true. Anyway, after today's walk, I'm 2.5 miles behind for this week (due to the rain on Thursday) BUT I'm only about .3 behind for the challenge because I had some extra mileage banked in Weeks 1 & 2. All is good. I should be able to make up the shortage rather easily....just need to keep in mind that 4.2 miles should be my daily goal, not 4.1 miles, and then add that extra .3 somewhere along the way.

Quiet day....just working household chores. Looking forward to tomorrow's Packer game and, of course, the last Presidential Debate on Monday night.

Hard to picture the necessity for earbands in Florida - glad it warmed up so you could finish comfortably. You must be feeling pretty good if you are now working on 4.2 miles/day. And this is on top of your normal walking. BTW - Thank you for the nice things you said on my journal.

Easy to say when it's the truth! And...my ears are pretty wimpy....comes with having short hair, so it doesn't take too cool of temperatures before I'm reaching for that earband.

Gosh Sandy...I can't walk my one mile yet..but we did some more tree cutting today..as they were on the fence we were grunting alot..LOL..those limbs were heavy even though they were cut up in smaller pieces...I know I burned some cals as I was all wet and had to take a long shower...nothing like farm work to get your body aching..DH hurt his back and I got my feelings hurt cause I can't do as much as I used to ..LOL...I have to wear an ear band too..it sure was windy today and a bit cooler here as well...hope it warms up for ya soon...I'm proud of you girl...:O)

My neck is my weak spot (fibromyalgia). I'll go out without my coat but with my scarf. Good thing scarves are back in style because I just pretend I'm making a fashion statement.

I was thinking of you enjoying your walks when I was watching the weather channel yesterday. I happened to catch the part about Florida & great weather...still having trouble imagining having to wear a hat though. Somehow, Florida should always be warm to me. 37 here this morning...now, That's hat weather! Super good job on the walking...those miles are adding up!
