Had a talk with my trainer yesterday morning. Told him I want to lose 10 lbs by Christmas. He explained to me (and I finally let it sink in) that eating carbs like potatoes with my breakfast will not help me accomplish that. If I eat carbs before I workout, then my body is going to use those carbs to burn for energy instead of the already stored fat in my body. So it's kind of pointless. He said if I am going to eat carbs, then do it after a workout. OK. I got it. I don't like it, but I got it.
Went to PF Changs last night. It was OK. The lettuce wraps appetizer that I've heard so much about were OK. Nothing special. I got GF ginger chicken with broccoli and brown rice. That was good! And today I only have 2 lbs of water retention from the sodium in it all. I drank lots of water yesterday planning for that meal. I need to have more today too.
I will be working out with my girlfriends in about an hour, so I'm gonna make breakfast (with potatoes cause I made double of that yesterday to just heat up today), and get my workout toys ready to go. Wow, I am so tired right now...hope the coffee kicks in soon.
