So I was able to go trail jogging on sunday. Took it super easy and was careful with each step. Jogged one of my trails for a decent 45 minutes, stretched the hell out of the calves and the feet, and well, today, nothing seems worse. So that's good news concerning the plantar fasciitis. This definitely ups my motivation. It seems without having my cardio, I had barely ANY motivation whatsoever. Hell, I even chowed down on some bomb chicago deep dish pizza in the city on Saturday (and some awesome el salvadorean cheese pupusas a couple hours later). Haha, well, maybe that was a motivational factor as well to try and run on Sunday. I'm definitely noticing a shift to the softer side of things.

So I'm slowly going to try to return to my previous levels as to limit any more injuries. Geez. But hell, maybe I'll pump out a couple minutes of burpees to see where I'm at and what I can handle.

There is such a thing as rebuilding you know... one minute, two next week ect. Don't go getting all superman now!

Take it easy - change it up, do some stuff you haven't done in a while - like, when are you replacing your mountain bike?????

plantar fasciitis. YUCK. gooood stinking luck. I cant remember if I commented on it or just read one of your past journals while i had a minute and didn't comment.... in any case, a day without extra heel pain is a happy day :) Hope you've got some motivation back!

Yaaaa, alright alright alright. Babysteps. blah blah. I'm listening...hehe. I was thinking about picking up a decent cheap-o bike just to get some mileage in. I really miss riding. Payday's friday! But the new insoles I bought seem to be helping out quite a bit. I'm upping the amount of times I've been stretching throughout the day as well. Next thing on the list is to pick up some glucosamine. I wont let this keep me sidelined for too long. Another motivational factor: my coworker made a comment on my cheeks looking a little bigger. dammit. But then again, I did devour quite a bit of deep dish pizza on saturday hahah. I blame that.
