Back to neighborhood walking today and it felt GREAT! 3.1 miles walked, with dogs along for 1.6. A front came through and it's actually SUNNY again and not raining....a BIG mood-improver!
DH and I missed walking on our vacation travel days. The first night, we walked to a restaurant and then did a few laps in the parking lot afterward, just because we felt like we needed to stretch out a bit. A few times while in DH's hometown, we walked from the hotel to the downtown area for breakfast and then walked back to the hotel....probably close to 2 miles each way. The weather was cooler (upper 50's when we started out!) and drier than we were used to, so it was just so invigorating to get out in it. It was a bit of an adjustment, to put it mildly, coming back into the heat and humidity that's so typical here.
I need to run a few errands this afternoon and then it's grilling time tonight!
